Frequently asked questions
Are these IT tools free to use?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free, needs no account or sign-up and has no usage limits. They are built for network engineers, system administrators, students and anyone studying for certifications such as CCNA, Network+ or Linux exams.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The calculators and converters run entirely in your web browser with JavaScript, so the IP addresses and values you type never leave your device. The only exception is the DNS Lookup tool, which by design sends your query directly from your browser to Google Public DNS or Cloudflare over encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS.
Do the tools work on mobile phones?
Yes. All tools are responsive and work on phones, tablets and desktops in any modern browser, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Each tool also has a dark mode toggle.
Which new tools are coming next?
Security and cryptography tools (password generator, hash generator, Base64, JWT decoder and password strength checker) and sysadmin tools (chmod calculator, cron expression generator, Unix timestamp converter, RAID calculator and storage unit converter) are in development and will appear on this page as they launch.
