Forefront TMG detected a proxy server loop

 

Summary:

Forefront TMG detected a proxy server loop. There may be a problem in the configuration of the Forefront TMG Web chaining policy. Alternatively, in Enterprise Edition, when CARP is enabled and there are intermittent interruptions of intra-array connectivity, array member A may forward a request to array member B according to the CARP algorithm, and array member B may forward the request to array member A in an endless loop.

Causes:

There may be a problem in the configuration of the TMG Server Web chaining policy. Alternatively, in Enterprise Edition, when CARP is enabled and there are intermittent interruptions of intra-array connectivity, two array members may have different views of which array members are available. As a result, array member A may forward a request to array member B according to the CARP algorithm, and array member B may forward the request to array member A in an endless loop.

Resolutions:

Verify that the configuration of every proxy server in the Web chaining configuration does not create a loop by referring back to a proxy server that is already in the chain, please also check  on the backup route in upstream proxy server is none select. In Enterprise Edition, also verify that there are no intra-array connectivity issues.  Go to: Logs & Reports Select: Configure Web Proxy Logging Select Tab: Fields  Uncheck the following Box: Referring Server Save Changes Also the use of Torrent program in your network make this problem Forefront TMG detected a proxy server loop so please see what happen in your network.
